Yes we're pigeons not doves - that's because doves won't fly up, circle around and fly home. Instead they have to be rounded up which we don't believe is 'part of their nature'.

Most pigeon fanciers in the UK prefer not to breed white pigeons for racing so our birds have come from a reputable breeder in Holland. The are an old fashioned full bodied bird with wide tails and can easily fly up to 300 miles. The birds that we release have been home bred in the UK so that they know their way home. They are fit, handled daily, vaccinated and carry the RPRA rings AND our telephone number for identification.

Unfortunately we do not release our birds in bad weather or close to dusk for fear that they will get lost. We also prefer to stay within a 50 mile radius of their home. The welfare of our birds is our number one priority.
